Katie Summerhayes "definitely going for it" in slopestyle final

Great Britain's Katie Summerhayes vows to 'go for it' in today's women's slopestyle final at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Great Britain's Katie Summerhayes was very upbeat when discussing her chances of winning a medal after booking her place in the final of the women's slopestyle at the Sochi Games this morning.

Summerhayes registered a score of 84.00, which saw her qualify in third, behind Canadian pair Dara Howell and Kim Lamarre.

"I was really nervous this morning, but I have tried to just think of it as a normal competition," she told BBC Sport.

"I have another move I'm going to try in the final so we'll see what I can do with that - I'm definitely going for it [a medal]."

The final is scheduled to begin at 9am UK time.
