Chris Hogan ready for increased role with Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan is expected to play a greater role against the New York Jets.

Chris Hogan has said that he is ready to play a bigger role for the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

With Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods unable to feature against the New York Jets later today, the wide receiver is expected to start for the AFC East side.

Head coach Doug Marrone told the team's official website: "Next man up, step up and go. It's a good opportunity. We'll go into the game with four receivers. Marcus Easley will have a little more of a role doing some things. Chris Hogan will have more of a role in it. So those guys have an opportunity and they have to step up and that's what happens in this game.

The 25-year-old added: "We played [the Jets] before so that helps a lot. We get to go back and look at the previous game and look at all the different looks we're going to be seeing. I just prepare myself to play a little bit more of a role in the slot if I'm in there.

"I think we're looking forward to playing these guys again. We've got a little bitter taste in our mouths from the first time we saw them, so we're definitely looking forward to seeing these guys at home and playing them again."

Hogan has 39 yards from four receptions this season.
