Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will start for his side in their match against the Cleveland Browns just two weeks removed for a serious car accident, according to a report.
The 25-year-old sustained two transverse process fractures in his back when was involved in a crash in which his car was hit from the side and flipped multiple times.
Newton was admitted to hospital where he was diagnosed with the fractures, and as a result missed his side's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
However, he returned to action by practising every day this week with no problems and will start against the Browns, claims NFL Network.
The Panthers are 5-8-1 in their season, but are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.
