Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emery has insisted that his side have not given up on their season following their 51-23 defeat to the New England Patriots.
The Bears slipped to their fifth loss of the season as they were hammered by the Patriots at Gillette Stadium, and Emery believes that the criticism that has come the way of the team is warranted.
He told reporters: "We deserve the criticism. We're responsible for our current record and that responsibility starts with me. We will not quit on the season. We will not quit on ourselves."
The Bears have their bye this week, but face a crucial match against the Green Bay Packers in week 10 of their campaign.
