Former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has insisted that he will still be rooting for his old side, but does not want them to win the Super Bowl without him.

Urlacher, who announced his retirement at the end of May, said that his decision to leave the game was due to him not being able to play to the required standard any more.

"I'm still rooting for them," Urlacher told NESN.com. "I hope they do well. They better not win a championship without me because I'll be really pissed."

Urlacher was credited with 1,229 tackles during his career.
