Brian Urlacher admits that he does not know whether he will be able to find work with another NFL team after leaving the Chicago Bears.

Brian Urlacher has said that he does not know whether he will be able to find work in the NFL again.

The linebacker, who is a free agent, refused to re-sign with the Chicago Bears, branding their contract offer to him "an ultimatum".

The 34-year-old told The Dan Patrick Show: "I'm also excited. I get a chance to look around and see what's out there, if there's anything out there at all. I don't know, maybe nobody wants me.

"The thing is, no one thought I would leave Chicago. All these teams that we've talked to, they thought, 'The [Bears] aren't going to let him go. He's not leaving. Why waste our time with this?' And it's clear now that's not the case."

Urlacher has spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the Bears.
