John Elway praises Adam Gase's commitment

Denver Broncos executive John Elway believes that Adam Gase has shown commitment by waiting until after the playoffs to meet with the Cleveland Browns.

John Elway has said that he is "proud" that Adam Gase has turned down interview requests from the Cleveland Browns.

The Denver Broncos offensive coordinator is reportedly the Browns' top choice to take over as their head coach, but he has declined to meet with the team while the AFC West side are still involved in the playoffs.

The team's executive vice-president of football operations, Elway, told ESPN: "For him to be able to do what he did and to say, 'I want to keep my focus on the Denver Broncos, and once our season is over, I'll interview', to me, that was studly.

"Because it was to me, I like guys that are committed to what they're doing, committed to the Denver Broncos. So I couldn't be more proud of that decision. It tells you a lot about the guy."

The Browns fired Rob Chudzinski after just one season with the team.
