Terrance Knighton: 'Controlling the clock is key'

Denver Broncos nose tackle Terrance Knighton says that the team must control the clock against the New England Patriots.

Terrance Knighton has said that controlling the clock will be key for the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game.

The AFC West champions take on the New England Patriots later today, having lost to the team in overtime during the regular season.

The nose tackle told USA Today: "The playoffs are about running the ball and stopping the run, to control the clock.

"We've got to make it happen. But we can't put eight men in the box or nine men in the box. It's going to come down to the front guys.

"They like to get guys moving, try to get them off their spot. I'm sure their gameplan is to take me out of the game."

The winner of today's game will face either the San Francisco 49ers of the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
