Desmond Bishop has revealed that he is to meet with the Minnesota Vikings following his release from the Green Bay Packers.
The linebacker, who was cut last week, missed the 2012 NFL season with a ruptured hamstring.
The 28-year-old told ESPNWisconsin.com: "This is definitely a motivating factor. Just from the standpoint of actually being cut, you figure it's going to happen to everybody eventually at some point in their career, but I felt like I was the type of player who can go out on their own time."
Bishop added that he will be meeting with the Packers' NFC North rivals later today.
