Andre Johnson happy to mentor Indianapolis Colts wideouts

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Andre Johnson says that he is prepared to mentor the young wideouts at the club to improve the level of their performances.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Andre Johnson has revealed that he is more than happy to take on a mentoring role to the younger players at the club.

The 33-year-old was released by the Houston Texans after 12 years with the AFC South side, but then penned a three-year deal to join up with Chuck Pagano's men.

Johnson feels that he can help the Colts' young wideouts - including TY Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Duron Carter - improve the level of their performances with his knowledge of the NFL.

"I don't have a problem pulling a young guy to the side if he does something wrong. I don't have a problem with a young guy telling me something," Johnson told the club's official website.

"That's what makes players great, when you can take constructive criticism. When you are able to critique each other. It makes the whole room better. That's what I'm going to try and bring here."

Johnson has recorded 1,012 receptions for 13,597 yards along with 64 touchdowns in his 12 seasons in the league.
