The Indianapolis Colts have confirmed that they have signed free agent linebacker Trent Cole.
The 32-year-old was released by the Philadelphia Eagles last week to save money against the salary cap after a successful 10-year spell with the NFC East outfit.
Chuck Pagano's men have moved to sign the veteran pass-rusher to boost their defense, who struggled to stop the New England Patriots in their crushing defeat in the AFC championship game.
Cole recorded 569 tackles, 85.5 sacks and 19 forced fumbles in his 10 years with the Eagles.
