Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano has defended wide receiver Andre Johnson by insisting that he can still be effective at the top level.
The 33-year-old joined the Colts last month after he was released by the Houston Texans.
Houston owner Bob McNair hinted that Johnson has started to fade, but Pagano believes that he is still a threat,
He told ESPN: "You don't see a huge drop-off numbers-wise. Maybe in touchdowns. But you still see a guy who is more than capable of stretching the defence. Certainly somebody who an opponent can't just line up and say, 'Don't worry about Andre Johnson.'"
Johnson scored three touchdowns for the Texans last season.
