Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has revealed that he felt his arm "deteriorated" as his rookie season last year went on.
The former number three overall Draft pick has spent several weeks this off-season working on improving his technique to avoid a repeat situation.
"My arm kind of deteriorated during the season," Bortles said at the start of Jacksonville's voluntary off-season conditioning programme, according to NFL.com.
"It didn't affect anything. It was just, I think, a product of throwing for two years straight without any break."
The second-year signal-caller has worked on his footwork and throwing motion, and has also dropped weight with a new fitness plan ahead of next season.
