The Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent defensive back Kurt Coleman, according to a report.
The 25-year-old was available on the open market after his contract with the Philadelphia Eagles was not renewed following the end of the 2013 season.
Minnesota have signed Coleman to a one-year deal as they view him as a backup for their starter at free safety, Harrison Smith, reports ESPN.
Coleman recorded 14 tackles in 15 games for the Eagles last season.
