The New England Patriots have confirmed that they have signed their former safety Patrick Chung from the free agency following his release by the Philadelphia Eagles last month.
Chung said that he was delighted to be back at the club at which he started his career in 2009, and said that he fits in much more in New England than Philadelphia.
"I'm glad to be back. It's like family here," Chung told the Patriots' official website. "It feels like home. I love the fans, I love the coaches, I love the environment, I love the city so, it's like a blessing.
"I can't really tell you why things didn't work out in Philly. But now that this is happening I feel it's a better fit here. I know the system, I know the coaches and it's a good environment. I'm back in the city that gave me a chance. I feel like it's home."
Chung played just 12 times for the Eagles before making his return.
