The New England Patriots have confirmed that they have signed free agent cornerback Darrelle Revis.
The 28-year-old was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week after just one year at the club, as new head coach Lovie Smith and general manager Jason Licht wished to take the team in a different direction.
New England were in the market for a defensive back after Aqib Talib joined the Denver Broncos, and were quick to pounce for the three-time All-Pro in a reported two-year deal worth $32m (£19m).
Revis played 16 games for the Buccaneers last season, recording 50 tackles, one sack and two interceptions.
