The New York Giants are planning on having the injured David Wilson ready for the forthcoming season, according to the team's co-owner John Mara.
The running back has been out of action with a neck injury, but he has made solid progress and the Giants are preparing to hold medical tests for the player before he begins contact again.
"We expect him to be playing... all signs are he'll be ready to go," Mara told reporters at a YMCA donation ceremony.
The team plans to re-examine Wilson's neck with a doctor next Monday, with the rest of his teammates beginning training camp on the same day.
