New York Jets' Chris Johnson: 'Knee is fine'

Chris Johnson insists that the New York Jets would not have allowed him to pass the physical had his knee not been 100% fit.

New York Jets running back Chris Johnson has insisted that his knee, which had to be surgically repaired, is perfectly fit and that he can still reach the targets he has set himself in the past.

Johnson said that even with fit and healthy legs it would be a tough ask to match his second year as a pro, in which he rushed for a career-high 2,006 yards with the Tennessee Titans.

"Once you rush for 2,000, you set the expectation for yourself," NFL.com quotes Johnson as saying. "If the Jets had any concerns, pretty sure I wouldn't have passed the physical."

Since Johnson's second season with the Titans his best season was 2010, in which he managed 1,364 yards.
