New York Jets running back Chris Johnson has admitted that he does not expect to take part in his side's organised team activities, which begin in the middle of next week.
Johnson, who signed for the club last month, said that the Jets want to take his injury rehabilitation slowly so that he will be able to make an appearance at the training camp.
"I think they're gonna hold me out of OTAs and just let me continue to rehab until I get 100%," Johnson is quoted as saying by NFL.com.
"Take it slow, since I have time on my side, and just be ready for training camp."
Johnson has spent all previous six years of his career at the Tennessee Titans.
