Michael Vick: "I revolutionised the game"

New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick believes that he "revolutionised" the NFL by becoming a dual-threat out of the backfield in his 11-year NFL career.

New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick feels that he "revolutionised" the NFL by becoming a dual-threat at the quarterback position.

The 33-year-old was drafted first overall in the 2001 Draft and has displayed both the ability to pass the ball with efficiency and the athleticism to run downfield from out of the backfield.

Vick has insisted that his success has paved the way for other players like Roberto Griffin III and Johnny Manziel to make their mark in the league.

"I was the guy who started it all," Vick told ESPN. "I revolutionised the game. I changed the way it was played in the NFL."

Vick has thrown for 21, 489 yards and ran for 5,857 yards in his 11-year NFL career.
