Oregon quarterback and NFL prospect Marcus Mariota has revealed that he was flattered to hear Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly compliment him.
Kelly revealed his belief that Mariota was the best signal-caller in the 2015 NFL Draft, but also insisted that the organisation wouldn't trade up to try to acquire him.
Mariota was pleased to hear his comments, but insisted that he doesn't pay too much attention to talk surrounding his future.
"That was really nice of him," he said, ESPN reports.
"When I see him, I'll thank him."
Five NFL general managers watched Thursday's workout at the Oregon indoor practice facility, as Mariota found his receiver with 60 of his 67 passes including nine out of 10 in the red zone.
