Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy believes that DeSean Jackson will be missed by the club following his departure from Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles released the 27-year-old due to his high salary and reports that linked him to gang activity, something which Jackson has vehemently denied.
Jackson signed a three-year deal with the Eagles' NFC East rivals the Washington Redskins earlier this week.
"I heard the rumors, but I was surprised for sure," McCoy told FoxSports. "I mean, [DeSean's] probably one of our biggest playmakers that we had.
"He can make plays at any given time. He can control the game. He's probably the biggest deep threat in the NFL.
"To lose a guy like that is definitely tough. He'll definitely be missed. Obviously every move is made for a reason."
Jackson recorded 82 receptions for 1,332 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in the 2013 season.
