Ben Roethlisberger has said that he is focused on preparing for the 2014 NFL season, not securing a contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The AFC North side have already indicated that they are not looking to offer the quarterback a new deal this pre-season.
The 32-year-old told ESPN: "I have faith that the Steelers will do what we need to do when it's time and that's putting people on the field through free agency, trades, drafts to make us the best team that we can possibly be.
"When we get here there is no contract talk. When we get to camp it's time to play football and that's what I'm excited about."
Roethlisberger, who has won two Super Bowls during his time with the team, was a first-round Draft pick in 2004.
