Carlos Rogers has reportedly recovered enough to play against the Seattle Seahawks, but will not start for the San Francisco 49ers.
The San Francisco Chronicle claims that Tarrell Brown and Tramaine Brock will continue to start at the cornerback position, with Rogers coming in to cover the slot receiver.
The 32-year-old told the newspaper: "Coming off a hamstring injury, you never know how it will affect you.
"I can feel fine right now and make one cut or make the wrong cut throughout a game, and there it goes again.
"So that's how they want to work me in. It's tough coming off the injury that I had and say you're just going to play 65 or 70 snaps."
The cornerback has missed both of the team's playoff games so far this post-season with a hamstring injury and was listed as questionable in Friday's injury report for the NFC championship game.
