Chris Johnson has reportedly decided that he will pick his new team by the middle of next week.
The running back was released on Friday after six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, and has been linked with moves to the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and St Louis Rams, among others.
NBC Sports says that the 28-year-old cannot discuss a contract with another side until tomorrow as his release did not appear on Friday's transaction wire, but he is keen to complete a deal by the middle of the week.
Johnson, who was a first-round Draft pick in 2008, has recorded over 1,000 rushing yards in each of his seasons in the NFL.
