Martyn Rooney has joked that he could name his newborn baby after the Bird's Nest stadium.
The 28-year-old won the bronze medal as part of Great Britain's 4x400m relay team on the final day of the World Athletics Championships.
"It's been a very special week for me and I couldn't go home empty handed. I had to bring something back to my wife to make it worthwhile," Rooney told BBC Sport. "I'm very proud of what she's done and hopefully she's proud of what I've done tonight.
"Wayde is a great name, Wayne is a great name but we haven't decided yet. There's lots of names being thrown at me right now. I was thinking 'Bird's Nest' but we'll see.
"I'm not going to be put on the spot right now. It's going to be a very strong name and I can't wait to meet him."
Great Britain finished fourth in the World Athletics Championships medals table.
