The Atlanta Hawks have confirmed that there is no structural damage to DeMarre Carroll's knee after he limped out of the team's opening game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The forward has been diagnosed with a sprain after landing awkwardly during game one of the Eastern Conference finals, which the Hawks lost 97-89.
After Carroll underwent X-rays and scans, coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters: "We'll see how things go the next 24 hours. We'll make a decision that's in DeMarre's short-term and long-term best interests, listen to the doctors, listen to DeMarre, make decisions."
The teams play again this evening.
