Veteran NBA player Zydrunas Ilgauskas's return to the sport has been a false rumour, according to his agent Herb Rudoy.
Talk of Ilgauskas making a return to the league he has spent three years away from has been growing in intensity in recent weeks, with some suggesting that he may look to pair up with old friend LeBron James at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
However, all of the speculation has been false, according to a tweet from NBA journalist Shams Charania, who has had contact with Rudoy.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas' agent, Herb Rudoy, tells RealGM of speculation of the 39-year-old center attempting an NBA comeback: "False rumor."
