Anthony Bennett has said that having his tonsils removed has allowed him to take a "huge step" in preparation for his second season in the NBA.
The Cleveland Cavaliers forward, who was the top Draft pick last year, averaged just 4.2 points per game during his rookie season, but has impressed during his performances in the Las Vegas Summer League.
He told Basketball Insiders: "Since [having] my tonsils out, my adenoids, I have a lot more room to breathe. It was hard, definitely, with my tonsils in. I feel like taking them out was a huge step.
