Stephen Curry has insisted that his score of 37 points in game five of the NBA Finals will only be relevant if the Golden State Warriors go on to win the title.
The league MVP added 17 of his points in the final 12 minutes to lift the Western Conference champions to a 104-91 win, putting them 3-2 ahead in the series.
The point guard told reporters: "It was a fun moment, but it will only mean something, and I'll probably have a better answer for that question after we win that championship, but signature moments only come for players who are holding the trophy."
Curry received treatment for dehydration after the game, but ESPN reports that he will be fine for Tuesday's meeting.
