The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly delaying rookie Julius Randle's contract signing and his ability to play at the Summer League in Las Vegas as they leave their options open in free agency.
Randle was selected with the seventh overall pick in the Draft, and the Lakers have some flexibility in what they can offer him in his first contract.
Having been medically cleared to play after a foot specialist insisted that he did not need any further procedures, the NBA prospect is eagerly awaiting his opportunity to impress, according to NBC Sports.
However, with the Lakers pursuing both Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, they want to keep as much cap space open as possible in order to facilitate any such deal.
