New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is reportedly delaying his free agency decision in order to leave open the possibility of joining the Miami Heat.
With Chris Bosh discussing a possible deal with the Houston Rockets, his exit could open up the necessary cap space the Heat need to acquire Anthony.
The Knicks were expecting an answer from Anthony on Monday, but his delay has ensured that there is a growing belief within the organisation that he is waiting to see if he could potentially join forces with LeBron James, the New York Post reports.
Anthony met with the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and the Knicks last week, but an opportunity to join Miami could mean that the 30-year-old turns all other interested parties down.
