Mike Woodson has said that "every game is important" if the New York Knicks are to clinch a place in the NBA playoffs this season.
Last night's 108-81 win over the Utah Jazz leaves the team with a 23-40 win, three victories behind the Atlanta Hawks, who currently sit eighth in the Eastern Conference.
The coach told reporters: "Last two games is, we had no choice. Time is somewhat running out and every game is important."
Forward JR Smith added: "We can either cave in and let teams beat the hell out of us, or we can come out there fighting. Thankfully we are coming out here fighting and it starts on the defensive end."
The Knicks face the Cleveland Cavaliers later today.
