Scott Brooks expects to stay with Oklahoma City Thunder

Scott Brooks insists that he will be the Oklahoma City Thunder coach next season.

Oklahoma City Thunder coach Scott Brooks has insisted that he is confident he will remain the coach of the franchise next season.

Brooks's position was questioned after OKC missed out on the playoffs, with reports claiming that he would be evaluated by the organisation in the off-season.

However, he remains adamant that he will remain in charge for the last year of his contract and hopes to bounce back from this year's disappointment.

"I expect to be the coach next season," Brooks told reporters at the team's annual exit interviews.

"We've had some unfortunate bad fortune going back to three years ago, so you never really know what this team can really be until it can stay healthy throughout the season and, most importantly, this part of the season."

Brooks has a .620 winning percentage as Thunder coach but the team missed out on the post-season this year with Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka sidelined for the past few weeks.
