The Oklahoma City Thunder are closing in on a deal with Billy Donovan to become their new head coach ahead of next season.
The two-time NCAA title winner is expected to be announced as their new coach on either Thursday or Friday, according to ESPN.
OKC have been searching for a new coach since their decision to fire Scott Brooks at the end of the regular season after missing out on the playoffs.
Donovan has since emerged as the favourite for the job, and the two parties are understood to be on the verge of agreeing a multi-year deal.
The Florida Gators coach won back-to-back college championships in 2006 and 2007, and agreed to coach the Orlando Magic before reversing his decision in 2007.
