Monty Williams has reportedly been asked to join Billy Donovan's Oklahoma City Thunder coaching staff.
The coach was fired by the New Orleans Pelicans after five seasons in charge following the team's elimination in the first round of the playoffs.
According to Yahoo Sports, Donovan, who was appointed after the Pelicans beat the Thunder to the final playoff place in the Western Conference, is keen to add Williams as an assistant coach.
Williams was previously an assistant with the Portland Trail Blazers, before taking up the role with New Orleans in 2010.
