Essex have announced that former England fast bowler Sajid Mahmood will not be offered a new contract.
The 32-year-old, who joined the club from Lancashire at the start of last season, has been let go along with leg spinner Tom Craddock.
"It's always difficult time of year when releasing players," Essex head coach Paul Grayson said. "Both players have given Essex 100% during their time at the club.
"Both have been excellent professionals, and we would like to thank them for their contribution. We wish them all the best for the future."
Mahmood played eight Tests and 30 limited-overs matches for England.
