Somerset have beaten Sussex Sharks by 34 runs in their T20 Blast encounter at Arundel.
The visitors, who were put in to bat first, made a score of 163-4 before bowling Sussex out for 129 with one over remaining.
Craig Kieswetter top-scored for Somerset with a knock of 70, while Chris Jones (18), Peter Trego (17) and Alviro Petersen (29 not out) also made significant contributions at the crease.
Steffan Piolet took two wickets for the home side, with James Anyon and Chris Liddle also getting in on the act.
Yasir Arafat's unbeaten 36 and Ed Joyce's 25 helped the Sharks mount a solid challenge when it was their turn out in the middle, but a lack of runs at the top of the order saw them unable to finish successfully.
Dirk Nannes was devastating with the ball for Somerset as he ended with figures of 5-31, while Craig Overton, Alfonso Thomas, Craig Meschede and Max Waller took the remaining wickets between them.
