Chris Froome has admitted that he is delighted to have finished third in Saturday's time trial, leaving him on the verge of Tour de France success.
The 32-year-old, who finished finished six seconds behind penultimate-stage winner Maciej Bodnar in Marseille, will clinch his fourth title when crossing the line on Sunday.
Team Sky rider Froome, on the brink of winning the competition for a third year in a row, is happy to have handled the pressure that comes with leading the pack.
"It's an amazing feeling to finish that off now," he told ITV Sport. "There was a lot of pressure coming into today's stage with it being so close in the general classification but there was an amazing atmosphere here.
"It's a fitting way to stay in the GC, which was always going to be a close battle."
Colombian rider Rigoberto Uran moved into second place on Saturday, while Romain Bardet of France is now third overall.
