Stephen Bunting has revealed that he is treating his first campaign in the Premier League as "a learning curve" after making his debut in the event last week.
The 2014 Lakeside champion has admitted that nerves played their part during his 6-6 draw with James Wade in Leeds, but ahead of his match with Michael van Gerwen on Thursday night, the Liverpudlian believes that he can only improve during the next couple of months.
The 29-year-old told PDC.tv: "I was really nervous last week so it was fantastic to take a draw. It was always going to be a nervy tie and I'm just glad to get through it and move on to Bournemouth now.
"It's all a learning curve for me, and I can only go from strength to strength. Michael's another fantastic player, and when you're playing against the players in the Premier League you've got to produce your best darts and hit the 100 averages if you want to beat them."
Bunting currently sits in 24th position in the PDC Order of Merit after spending just over a year with the organisation.
