Fallon Sherrock has earned a place in the Grand Slam Of Darts second round in sensational style, landing a 170 checkout in a must-win leg to edge out Gabriel Clemens.
Sherrock, one of two ladies players in the 32-player event in Wolverhampton, went into the contest knowing that she needed to win 5-3 or better to book her spot in the last 16.
On the back of busting 60 in the opening leg, Sherrock lost all momentum, going 3-1 down and almost being at the point of no return against a player who was playing more consistently.
However, Sherrock rediscovered her rhythm, landing a 12-dart leg to remain in the contest before moving into a 4-3 advantage.
Clemens had the edge in the eighth leg, leaving 68 after 12 darts, but Sherrock responded in memorable fashion, ending the sequence with a bullseye which will live long in the memory.
Sherrock will take on Austria's Mensur Suljovic, a player that she has previously defeated at the World Championship, in the second round.
