Zlatan Ibrahimovic "optimistic" over Milan chances

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is "optimistic" over AC Milan's Champions League chances after their goalless draw with Barcelona in their quarter-final first leg.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic remains "optimistic" after his side's goalless draw with Barcelona in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at the San Siro.

Despite the scoreline, both teams had plenty of chances to take something back with them to the Nou Camp for next week's second leg.

However, the Swedish forward is confident that the Serie A club can progress to the semi-finals.

"We had some opportunities but, unfortunately, we unable to score," Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport 24. "However, the result is very good for us. I am optimistic for the second leg."

Wednesday's match was the first time in 30 Champions League matches that Barcelona failed to score.
