Arsene Wenger hopes Arsenal can 'pass test' against Chelsea

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful that his side can 'pass the test' when they take on Chelsea this Sunday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful that his side's current form will get them over line when they take on Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday.

In 12 meetings against Chelsea teams managed by Jose Mourinho, Wenger has overseen seven defeats and five draws.

The Gunners currently sit second in the Premier League table, 10 points behind the Blues, but they have won their last eight league games on the bounce.

"We have been close to beating them a few times," Wenger said in this morning's press conference. "The result on Sunday will just be down to the performance on the day.

"We're on a good run, we're at home and we have the opportunity to beat them, so we want to take it. We have passed many tests recently. We have another test on Sunday against Chelsea that we want to pass."

Chelsea can wrap up the title if they win their next two league games.
