New Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is named on the bench as the Gunners welcome Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium in Sunday's Premier League clash.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has named Granit Xhaka among the substitutes as the Gunners host Liverpool in Sunday's Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

The £32m summer signing is on the bench alongside Santi Cazorla as Wenger opts for Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin in the middle of the park.

Young defenders Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are Arsenal's centre-back pairing this afternoon, while up front, Alex Iwobi lines up on the left alongside Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott.

For Liverpool, Roberto Firmino gets the nod ahead of Divock Origi in attack, where he will play alongside debutant Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho.

Mane, a summer signing from Southampton, is one of three players to be handed their Reds competitive debuts today, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Ragnar Klavan also in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI.
