Arsenal are reportedly behind Juventus in the race for Manuel Locatelli, with the Sassuolo midfielder pushing to join the Old Lady during this summer's transfer window.
The 23-year-old impressed for Italy during Euro 2020, scoring twice in five appearances, and he came off the bench to help his country beat England in the final earlier this month.
Locatelli is widely expected to leave Sassuolo this summer, and both Arsenal and Juventus have been credited with an interest in the central midfielder.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the former AC Milan youngster is determined to secure a move to I Bianconeri, who are ahead of Arsenal in the race for his signature.
Romano claims that the Gunners are prepared to pay €40m (£34m) for the Italian, but the Premier League club only want to sign players committed to joining the club.
Locatelli scored four times and registered three assists in 34 outings at club level last term.
