Owen Coyle reveals there have been no new bids for Gary Cahill.

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has revealed that there have been no realistic bids for Gary Cahill.

The England international's future has been the subject of much speculation during the summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool both credited with an interest.

However, boss Coyle has moved to confirm that no-one has made an acceptable offer for the 25-year-old central defender.

"It is very much the status quo, carrying on where we have before," Coyle told Sky Sports News.

"But we try to be fair to Gary, if there is something positive for him, then great, I will let him know.

"If it's not, he has to be allowed to focus and concentrate on his career at Bolton, where he has been outstanding and will continue to be until that was to change."

Cahill joined Wanderers in 2008 from Aston Villa.
