Report: Newcastle United to repel Moussa Sissoko interest

A report claims that Newcastle United are confident of fighting off Arsenal's interest in Moussa Sissoko.

Newcastle United will reportedly repel Arsenal's January interest in Moussa Sissoko.

The 25-year-old has been the Magpies' standout performer this season, with his form attracting a host of interest.

The Gunners are said to be preparing a £9m move for the powerful midfielder early next month, but according to The Express, Newcastle are in a financial position to reject the offer.

The Magpies have sold a number of their key players in recent seasons, but it is understood that the club will stand firm next month.

Sissoko joined Newcastle from Toulouse in 2012.
