Monaco striker Dimitar Berbatov has said that he is relishing the prospect of playing against Paris Saint-Germain this weekend.
The Bulgarian forward, who joined the club from Fulham on transfer deadline day, could feature in the top-of-the-table clash in place of the injured Radamel Falcao.
"Paris is a wonderful team who are in strong form at the moment," he told reporters. "Everyone knows the French league now because of players like [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
"This match presents a super-exciting challenge and a real chance to show what I can do. It's a huge challenge to try to replace Falcao. But really I'm not here to take anyone's place.
"I can play as a number nine or behind a striker. But above all, I'm here to help the team. I just want to try to score as many goals as I can. I'm a striker, after all."
PSG head into the match five points clear of Monaco at the top of the table.
