Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay insists that he will be at the Nou Camp for the new La Liga season.

Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay has insisted that he will fight for a regular spot at the Nou Camp following speculation over his future.

The 26-year-old has been touted as a possible transfer target for Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Newcastle United and Arsenal.

"I can't wait for the new season to begin, so I can get back on the pitch, and prove my worth for Barcelona," said Afellay.

The playmaker, who only made five appearances for the former La Liga champions last season, failed to progress to the Euro 2012 quarter-finals with the Netherlands after the Dutch side crashed out of the tournament at the group phase.
