Barcelona have reportedly identified AZ Alkmaar defender Owen Wijndal as a potential long-term successor to Jordi Alba.
The Catalan giants have recently been credited with an interest in Atalanta BC's Robin Gosens, as they are said to be keen on signing competition for Alba next term.
However, according to AS, Wijndal has now emerged as a leading target for Ronald Koeman's side, with the 21-year-old enjoying another impressive campaign at club level.
The Dutchman scored twice and provided six assists in 43 appearances for AZ during the 2020-21 season, and he still has more than two years left to run on his current deal.
The report claims that Barca are hopeful of paying under €15m (£13m) for the defender, although Pascal Jansen's side are expected to resist his departure in the upcoming market.
Wijndal has been included in the Netherlands squad for Euro 2020.
